CBDOTC is an independent review site for CBD brands. The CBD market is full of bold claims and thin evidence — we do the homework on testing, ingredients, and company reputations, then recommend the brands we'd buy from ourselves.
1. Third-party lab testing (pass/fail). A brand must publish current, batch-specific certificates of analysis from an independent lab. No COA, no recommendation — this single filter eliminates most of the market.
2. Ingredients & sourcing. We favor U.S.-grown hemp, clean carrier oils, and short ingredient lists, and we flag artificial additives and vague "proprietary blends."
3. Reputation & track record. Years in business, patterns in customer feedback, and how the company handles complaints and recalls.
4. Value. Price per milligram of CBD — the only fair way to compare products across strengths and formats.
We re-check our picks periodically. A brand that stops publishing lab reports gets delisted, no matter how well it ranked before.
CBDOTC is reader-supported. When you click a "check price" link and buy from a partner brand, we may earn an affiliate commission — at no extra cost to you.
Here's what that does and doesn't mean:
It does mean we can keep the reviews free and keep updating them.
It doesn't mean brands can buy placement. Rankings come from our methodology, not from commission rates. A higher-paying brand will never outrank a better one.
This disclosure follows the FTC's endorsement guidelines: any time we might earn from a link, we say so near the link.
We're not a store — we don't sell, ship, or fulfill anything. We're not doctors or vets, and nothing here is medical advice. Talk to a professional about whether CBD makes sense for you (or your pet).
