The big number on the bottle is the total CBD inside — not what's in each dropper. Here's the two-second math.
Total mg ÷ total ml = mg per ml. A standard dropper holds about 1ml. So:
Most first-time buyers start with 500mg: it's the easiest to measure in small increments (a quarter or half dropper). The 1000mg is the most popular all-rounder — better value per milligram, since price doesn't scale linearly with strength. The 2000mg suits experienced users who already know their preferred serving size and want fewer droppers per bottle.
To compare fairly across brands, divide the bottle price by total CBD milligrams. For example, a $40 bottle with 500mg ($0.08/mg) is a worse deal than a $60 bottle with 1000mg ($0.06/mg).
Higher strengths almost always win on value — you're paying mostly for the bottle, the oil, and the lab testing, not the CBD itself.
Enter two bottles to see which is the better deal. Math updates as you type.
Rough guide: under $0.05/mg is excellent value · $0.05–$0.10 is typical · over $0.15 is pricey. Sale prices and subscriptions change the math — rerun the numbers at checkout.
There's no official serving size for CBD. Start with a small amount, stay consistent for a week or two, and adjust. And talk to your physician first if you're pregnant, nursing, taking medication, or managing a health condition.
